According to the World Health Organization (WHO), Mental health is “a state of well-being in which the individual realizes his or her own abilities, can cope with the normal stresses of life, can work productively and fruitfully, and is able to make a contribution to his or her community”.

Mental health is an integral and essential component of health. The WHO constitution states: "Health is a state of complete physical, mental and social well-being and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity." An important implication of this definition is that mental health is more than just the absence of mental disorders or disabilities.

Today is the World Mental health day- Oct 10th and the theme for 2020 by WHO is

'Mental Health for All: Greater Investment – Greater Access’. The United Nations (2020) observed that, “Good mental health is critical to the functioning of society at the best of times. It must be front and centre of every country’s response to and recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic. The mental health and wellbeing of whole societies have been severely impacted by this crisis and are a priority to be addressed urgently” (UN, Policy Brief, 2020).

As an NLP Practitioner all of us focus on Mental Health of ours and others. Request all of you to be aware of the same. Mental health awareness means that we're not only acknowledging that mental health is important, but we're talking about it, putting it out there so that people who feel too much can get the help they need too.” – Jessica Hull. “Awareness is the acceptance and understanding of something, in part or whole.

Mental health promotion involves actions that improve psychological well-being. We can contribute by promoting and protecting Mental health of our own people by creating an environment that supports positive mental health.
